History
Coree International School was founded in 2009 by its then-maintainer, Sociedade Educacional de Santa Catarina (SOCIESC). In 2015, SOCIESC underwent a split, and the school came under the management of Instituto Core, a non-profit educational and cultural civil entity.
It was conceived to meet the demand of the Joinville society to provide children and young people with a bilingual, internationally certified education. Throughout its journey, the school has achieved several significant milestones, establishing itself as an institution of excellence.
The activities of Coree International School (Escola Internacional de Joinville) began in 2009 with students from the 6th grade of Elementary School. Starting in 2010, the school began operating from the 1st grade of Elementary School, and through gradual implementation, in 2012, it completed the 9 years of Elementary School. The implementation of High School was gradual, and in 2015, it completed the 3 years of High School.
In 2013, the school was authorized by the International Baccalaureate to implement the IB program for High School – IBDP, offering students the prestigious IB Diploma.
In 2016, the school received its second authorization for the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP), certifying Elementary School - early grades.
In 2018, the school started the Early Years - Early Childhood Education in a 100% English immersion program.
In 2023, the school received its third authorization for the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP), certifying Middle School - final grades.

Twice in a row, it was selected to send a representative from Brazil to the Intel ISEF in the USA – the world's largest Science Fair;

Who is Coree International School?

Coree is the only IB Continuum school in Santa Catarina and part of a select group of 8 schools in Brazil that offer all programs: the PYP - Primary Years Programme, MYP - Middle Years Program and the DP - Diploma Programme.
Coree International School is a school with a Brazilian identity, certified by the International Baccalaureate (IB Continuum) that develops a socio-constructivist teaching-learning process, through a trilingual immersion program in the English language, in which the Spanish language becomes the be part of the curriculum from the 8th year onwards.
As an IB Continuum school, all students, without exception, participate in the Primary Years Program (PYP), Middle Years Program (MYP) and Diploma Program (DP).
The school operates from Early Childhood Education, starting in nursery) to High School and prepares with excellence for the national ENEM exams, Entrance Exams, as well as for the international exams SAT, ACT, IB and entry into foreign universities.
The service is organized into four stages, and adopts the following nomenclature:

> Elementary School I – Elementary School – Grades 1 to 5
