Social Swimming Project

Welcome to the Coree Sports Center Social Swimming Project page! This initiative is dedicated to providing opportunities for 140 students aged 7 to 10 from the public school system, including a percentage of places for children with motor disabilities. The swimming lessons are completely free and use sports as a tool for social development and transformation. With the support of the Federal Sports Incentive Law and the Farol Seal, the project not only teaches swimming, but also promotes essential values such as discipline, focus and cooperation, and includes lectures on health, safety in the aquatic environment and other areas of knowledge. Find out more about how you can support this transformative initiative and contribute to the development of young talents.

OURS
HISTORY

Coree International School was founded in 2009 by its then sponsor, Sociedade Educacional de Santa Catarina | SOCIESC. In 2015, the then SOCIESC went through a split and the school was taken over by Instituto Core, a non-profit civil educational and cultural entity. Instituto Core manages Coree International School, which serves children and adolescents from nursery school to high school.

It was designed to meet the demands of Joinville society to provide children and young people with an internationally certified bilingual education. Throughout its history, the school has achieved several significant milestones, consolidating itself as an institution of excellence.

Coree is the only IB Continuum school in Santa Catarina and part of a select group of 8 schools in Brazil that offer all programs: the PYP - Primary Years Program, MYP (Middle Years Program) and the DP (Diploma Program) that develops a socio-constructivist teaching-learning process, through a trilingual immersion program in the English language, in which the Spanish language becomes part of the curriculum from the 8th year onwards, with Brazilian and international diplomas.

COREE
SPORTS CENTER

The school has a sports complex, the Coree Sports Center, which has a swimming pool, courts and movement rooms. The school offers students several sports, such as basketball, volleyball, swimming, futsal, judo, among others, with some times being open to the general public.

Among these, one that stands out at the school is swimming. In addition to the classes within the school's curriculum, this modality is also open to the Joinville community, offering swimming for children from 4 years of age, youth and adult swimming and the basic training team, each with its own particularities.
